Test

30.10.12:

A comfortable 5-2 win for Wasteels against Eltham Town reserves this weekend.  Not at their best, but the scoreline could have been far better for us.  Lets hope GD doesnt come into play at the end of the season as this was a game to look back on with frustration.  None the less, a wins's a win, and the table is beginning to look very useful for Wasteels.  After a narrow defeat to both FC Bickely in the Cup and Bromley Knights in week 1, the main runners at this stage hold nothing for Steelz to fear in chasing back to back promotions since joining the OBDSFL.

21.10.12:

Valtaro Wasteels end up on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat by FC Bickley.  A very good game of football where Wasteels led twice after goals from Gangemi and Malavasi early in both halves.  However, FC Bickely, an early pace maker in the Premier divison, managed to ensure they progressed into the next round of the Picard Cup with a hat trick from the tricky 'Beaver.'  Wasteels will feel they have enough to match this side in the league fixtures but having wasted 3 excellent match winning chances here, they can only look back on what might have been in the cup.

01.10.12:

Valtaro Wasteels take maximum points for the second consecutive game with a 2-1 win against One Bell.  Goals from Prebeza and Rubbino secured a narrow but well deserved win in a game that with better finishing could have been a little more comfortable.  A third successive win in the next game would confirm ambitions of back to back promotions by lifting Wasteels right into the race for the title.  However, a tricky fixture against Crystal City will prove a decent test of those ambitions.

17.09.12:

Valtaro Wasteels record a first win of the season defeating Midway FC 4-1.  A nostalgic trip to a ground that used to be our home pitch and was the scene of joyous celebration back when Wasteels won their 13th consecutive and last Anglo Italian league title before mving into The Sunday Sportsmans.  This return saw a great display reminscent of the form that took us to the league title last year.  More of this and Wasteels could well be contenders again.

10.09.12:

A tough defeat in the opening game of the season for Valtaro Wasteels.  Despite starting slowly a well deserved share of the points appeared to be on the cards with the score tied at 1-1.  Afrim Kelmandi had equalised Bromley Knights opening goal all in the 1st half on a scorching Sunday morning.  However a late penalty in the dying moments of the game meant that Bromley Knights took the points and moved to top of the Prmeir Division.

04.09.12:

NEW SEASON BEGINS ON SUNDAY - Fixtures for both teams this weekend and after a decent pre season the newly promoted Champions of the OBDSFL Div 1 start their campaign away to Bromley Knights FC.
